Lavender, known for its resilience in thriving amidst dry soil and rocky terrain, reveals its beauty even in the harshest conditions. Inspired by this strength and elegance, the handle of the cup was crafted to mirror lavender buds — soft yet strong. 

Loam Archive is a ceramic studio run by Lee Jihye, who works in Seoul, Korea. All works are produced by artists.

Product notes & care —

• Each item is 100% handmade, so its shape may be irregular.

• There may be signs glaze flow, clumping, differences in thickness, bumps, air bubbles, black or brown spots caused by iron content in the clay. These are inherent qualities of handmade ceramics and do not qualify as valid reasons for exchange or refund.

• The air hole in the handle of the cup is an essential feature to prevent cracking or deformation during kiln firing due to internal pressure from clay shrinkage.

• The ceramic is fired at 1250°C, making it durable and safe for human use.

• While the ceramic is technically microwave and dishwasher safe, we do not recommend these uses as they may cause damage. Oven use is not allowed.
